Lamitex glass epoxy material maintains high mechanical, electrical and thermal strength at elevated & cryogenic                                              temperatures

  • Lamitex Glass - Epoxy materials are specially formulated to meet the rigorous demands of industrial applications. We have several grades to meet electrical, thermal, and mechanical extremes.
  • Grade(s) G10, FR4, G11, FR5 meet Mil-i-24768 specifications. For each specific specification and more on this click here.
  • Lamitex G-10 & FR-4 tubing is UL listed. Curious about the difference between G10 & FR4? Check out our Technical Blog on the topic!
  • Glass epoxy grades also have excellent chemical and oil resistance, making them superior in oil-filled electrical applications.
  • We specialize in machining these materials, and have 5th-axis capabilities.
  • Lamitex grade G-10 & G11 CR are often used for thin walled cryogenic applications.
  • All glass based tubes available in standard 48" trimmed lengths and 63" trimmed lengths available upon request.
  • We are able to produce these in low quantities, and offer quantity break pricing on larger quantity orders.
  • Our tubes can be produced as convolutely wound or filament wound tubes. Curious as to the strengths and differences between these two winding processes? Find your answer in our blog.
  • Small diameters available (from .118" inside diameter up to large 49.2" inside diameter).
  • Glass epoxy is the preferred material for electromagnetic induction.
  • Franklin maintains a full line of CNC lathes and turning centers to produce high quality fabricated parts from glass epoxy tubing.
Lamitex G10, FR4, G11 & FR5 are glass reinforced composites with specialized epoxy resin matrices that give them the mechanical, electrical and thermal strengths to work in extreme environments. We have decades of experience working with and machining these composites. With over 40 CNC machines and 5th axis capabilities, you can trust Franklin Fibre to complete even the most complex fabrication.
