Lamitex® T-COR Toroid & Electrical Coil Insulation
Quite often when wrapping or winding toroidal and other electrical coils; a unique insulation material is necessary in between layers and on corners. We developed Lamitex ® T- COR to provide engineers with a time-saving and cost-effective corner insulation alternative.

Standard materials that are typically manufactured for these applications include (but are not limited to): Nomex ® UL# E3473A, Vulcanized fibre UL# E48013, Rag paper, Dacron ®, Mylar ® and electrical Kraft UL# E4159OM. T-COR can also be provided as special combinations of these materials as well, for instance: Dacron/Mylar/Dacron, Nomex/Kapton®/Nomex, etc.

Advantages of T-COR

  • New Lamitex composites for high dielectric strength applications with high strength retention.
  • Designed materials that possess terrific strength, durability, dimensional stability, and excellent wear characteristics.
  • Lamitex specialty materials are used extensively for vanes in compressors, vacuum pumps and air motors.
  • High strength cryogenic glass epoxy grades are available in sheet, rod and tube.
  • Lamitex® polyester epoxy grade composite is used for insulation in SF6 Sulfur Hexafluoride gas electrical switches.
