& Design At Franklin, we take the time to learn about our customers' unique applications and requirements. By confronting complex problems with innovative solutions, we design, engineer, and rigorously test our products through to market acceptance. Precision fabrication demands complete understanding of all customers' performance requirements. Technical assistance is guaranteed by utilizing our engineering staff. Computer
Numeric Control Capabilities The competitive edge gained by utilizing our CNC machining centers can be appreciated by our customer by supplying quality parts on a timely and even rush order basis. By adequately investing in our CNC facilities and inventory of materials, Franklin provides quick turnaround service for large and small quantity orders. CNC, turret and engine lathes currently provide the capabilities to handle jobs up to 17 inches in swing and 48 inches in length. This CNC capacity compliments our larger capacity of conventional lathe equipment. Franklin Fibre, Lamitex®, and FranPlas materials are readily sawed, sheared and sanded from inventory. Franklin's shears have six foot capacity and can hold close tolerances. Sanding capabilities reach the maximum width of 40 inches and capable of handling 2 inch thick material in the maximum width. Thin gauge material up to 12 inches wide can be sanded to close tolerances. Both wet and dry sanding methods can be used to hold tolerance to ±.001. If closer tolerances are required, we can utilize our double disc grinder to hold ±.0005 tolerance on certain sizes of strip material. Turning
& Screw Machines Vast inventories of tubing and rod stock are immediately accessible for the production of screw machine parts. Large and small quantity orders for automatic screw machined parts are processed routinely. |
Stamping
& Die Cut Parts
Punched as well as die cut parts have been a long standing portion of Franklin's
fabrication business. Franklin maintains a wide variety of punch presses
including high speed for high volume requirements. Roll stock can be slit
in-house, providing quick turn-around of processed parts. Franklin maintains
inventories of standard size rolls of most punching stocks.
Die cut parts for many applications can be process from our large stock of materials in inventory. Franklin Fibre, Fishpaper, Nomex®, Nylon®, and Teflon® are just a few of the products that Franklin punches parts from on a daily basis. Small quantities of stamped and die cut parts are readily quoted competitively with our capabilities. Conventional
